In order to be able to answer a lot of questions in advance, we have provided the most common guest questions with answers. We hope to help you with this and make your holiday decision easier.
How long is the reception occupied?
Our reception is staffed daily from 08:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m. In the low season, while our restaurant is closed, the reception is open daily from 08:00 to 17:00.
When is the restaurant or hotel bar open?
Restaurant (a la carte) daily from 11:30 a.m. to 20:00 p.m.
Our hotel bar is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 23:00 p.m.
!! ATTENTION: in the off-season (spring and autumn) the restaurant and hotel bar are completely closed
When can we arrive or leave?
The check-in time for alpine huts and hotel rooms is from 15 p.m., check-out by 00 a.m. After consulting our reception team, we can also accommodate you in time if possible.
Is there Internet in the Almdorf or in the alpine huts or hotel rooms?
All alpine huts and hotel rooms as well as the lobby at Almhotel Edelweiss have a free WiFi connection for all guests.
Is it possible to order fresh bread and pastries?
We offer a daily bread service for our alpine hut guests and hotel guests. You can find the pastry menu in your alpine hut or hotel information folder, also at reception. Here you will also find an order list that you can fill out. Orders are taken daily by 16:30 p.m. (in the spring and autumn mid-season until 12:00 p.m.) and brought to your alpine hut the next day from 8:00 a.m. You are also welcome to order your pastries online

Is there a washing machine or can you have the laundry cleaned?
You are welcome to hand in your laundry directly at the reception. We will clean your laundry for a fee and you can pick it up directly at the reception. Here we charge € 15,00 per wash.
Where are the nearest shops?
The most important foods (milk, butter, eggs, etc.) are available in our small village shop. Also souvenirs and sweets as well as popsicles and drinks can be found in our shop. The nearest major shopping centers can be found in Schladming (about 15 minutes away by car).
Do you also lend cots or high chairs?
If you would like to borrow baby cots and high chairs, you can rent them from us before arrival. The baby laundry kit for € 8,00 consists of cot, sheets with covers and 2 small towels.
How can we pay?
You are welcome to pay your residence bill by debit, Visa, Mastercard or cash.
What are the cancellation conditions for our stay?
The general terms and conditions of the hotel industry apply to cancellations. For you, this means in the event of cancellation: You can cancel free of charge up to 3 months before arrival. From 3 months to 1 month before arrival, we charge 40% of the travel price. From 1 month to 1 week before arrival, the cancellation fee is 70% of the travel price. If you cancel within the last week before arrival, we will charge you 90% of the travel price, and 100% for early departure. To save you unnecessary costs, we recommend that you take out hotel cancellation insurance.
Are dogs allowed in Almdorf?
Dogs are allowed in all our huts and chalets on request and for a fee (€ 20,00/dog/day without food). Also in the restaurant there are possibilities to reserve a table with a dog on request.
How is the arrival in winter?
Snow chains are compulsory on the Reiteralm, which means that you should put on the snow chains when it is snowing or icy. We recommend that you always take snow chains with you in winter. Our mountain road is cleared very well in winter, but prolonged snowfall, for example, can result in slippery ice or slippery snow roads.
What about ski rental, ski school and ski maps?
In winter you can buy ski passes from 2 days up to 7 days directly on arrival at the reception. We ask you to order the evening before, so that we can provide the ski passes for you in the morning. In the neighboring town of Gleiming is the

How much is the linen package and what is included in this package?
The linen package can be booked prior to arrival. It costs € 16,00 / package / person and includes: 1 upholstery cover, 1 duvet cover, 1 fitted sheet, 1 bath towel, 1 sauna towel and 1 small towel. Baby laundry package for € 8,00 (including cot, sheets and 2 small towels).
In the Premium Chalets and the Comfort Almhütten Enzian Deluxe, the linen package also includes a bathrobe for the adults.
What about the waste separation?
In your chalet or your comfort alpine hut you will find a bag with tabs for the dishwasher and various garbage bags in the kitchen area. The waste system plan can be found in the information folder that is available in every house. You can deposit your full garbage bags in front of the alpine hut every day; our caretakers will take them away once a day.
How is the kitchen in the alpine hut equipped?
Our comfort alpine huts and premium chalets offer fully equipped kitchens (plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, etc.). There is also a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a kettle, a toaster and a stove with an oven.
Our houses are equipped with the following coffee machines:

If you should ever run out of coffee, visit our village shop, where you can also get Nespresso capsules as well as coffee and coffee filters.
Is grilling possible in summer?
We are happy to provide you with a WEBER kettle grill with a sack of charcoal for your stay on request or by pre-booking. If you run out of charcoal, you can purchase it at reception. We also have a spacious barbecue pavilion, which you can also reserve on request.
Do you have hypoallergenic bedding & allergy meals?
Most of our beds are already equipped with hypoallergenic bed linen. However, if you suffer from allergies, please let us know when booking.
Our kitchen team is also happy to cater to your special needs (e.g. gluten-free, lactose-free) and prepare an alternative menu for you; the most important allergen groups are shown on our menus. Please also let us know when booking.
Are there spa facilities for alpine hut guests?
There is a Finnish sauna in all our alpine huts, our premium chalets and comfort alpine huts Enzian Deluxe also offer a spacious relaxation area with loungers and a hot pot (large tub with hot water) on the veranda or terrace. You are welcome to make appointments for massages at the hotel reception on request.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the wellness area in the Almhotel Edelweiss is not included in the alpine hut price and that only hotel guests are allowed to use it.
As a mountain hut guest do you have rules to follow?
There are certain house rules to be observed in the premium chalets and comfort alpine huts. You can also find this in your information folder on site at your company.
