In order to be able to answer a lot of questions in advance, we have provided the most common guest questions with answers. We hope to help you with this and make your holiday decision easier.

How long is the reception occupied?

Our reception is open daily from 8 a.m. to 00 p.m. In the low season on weekdays from 21:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

When is the restaurant or hotel bar open?

:: Restaurant (a la carte) daily from 11:30 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:30 p.m. to 20:00 p.m.
:: Our hotel bar is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 23:00 p.m.

When can we arrive or leave?

The check-in time for alpine huts and hotel rooms is from 15 p.m., the check-out by 00 a.m. After consultation with our reception team, we can accommodate you if possible.

Is there Internet in the Almdorf or in the alpine huts or hotel rooms?

All alpine huts and hotel rooms as well as the lobby at Almhotel Edelweiss have a free WiFi connection for all guests.

Is it possible to order fresh bread and pastries?

We offer a daily bread delivery service for our alpine hut guests and hotel guests. You will find the pastry menu in your alpine hut or hotel information folder, also at the reception. Here you will also find an order list that you can fill out. Orders are accepted until 16:30 p.m. and brought to your alpine hut the next day from 8 a.m.

Is there a washing machine or can you have the laundry cleaned?

You are welcome to hand in your laundry directly at the reception. We will clean your laundry for a fee and you can pick it up directly at the reception. Here we charge € 15,00 per wash.

Where are the nearest shops?

The most important foods (milk, butter, eggs, etc.) are available in our small village shop. Also souvenirs and sweets as well as popsicles and drinks can be found in our shop. The nearest major shopping centers can be found in Schladming (about 15 minutes away by car).

Do you also lend cots or high chairs?

If you would like to borrow baby cots and high chairs, you can rent them from us before arrival. The baby laundry kit for € 8,00 consists of cot, sheets with covers and 2 small towels.

How can we pay?

You are welcome to pay your residence bill by debit, Visa, Mastercard or cash.

What are the cancellation conditions for our stay?

For cancellations the general terms and conditions of the hotel industry apply. This means for you in case of cancellation: Until 3 months before arrival you can cancel for free. From 3 months to 1 month before arrival we charge 40% of the travel price. From 1 month to 1 week before arrival, the cancellation fee is 70% of the tour price. In case of cancellation within the last week before arrival we will charge you 90% of the travel price, in case of early departure 100%. In order to save you unnecessary costs, we recommend that you secure yourself with the hotel cancellation insurance.

Are dogs allowed in Almdorf?

Dogs are allowed on request for a fee (€ 20,00 / dog / day without food) in our comfort cabins. Also in the restaurant there are after request possibilities of a table reservation with dog.

How is the arrival in winter?

On the Reiteralm snow chains are mandatory, which means that you should put on the snow chains in case of snow or ice. We recommend that you always bring snow chains with you in winter. Our mountain road is cleared very well in winter, but it can, for example, come in prolonged snowfall to icy slippery or slippery snowy roads.

What about ski rental, ski school and ski maps?

In winter you can buy ski passes from 2 days up to 7 days directly on arrival at the reception. We ask you to order the evening before, so that we can provide the ski passes for you in the morning. How much is the linen package and what is included in this package?

The linen package can be booked prior to arrival. It costs € 16,00 / package / person and includes: 1 upholstery cover, 1 duvet cover, 1 fitted sheet, 1 bath towel, 1 sauna towel and 1 small towel. Baby laundry package for € 8,00 (including cot, sheets and 2 small towels).

The premium alpine huts additionally include a bathrobe in the linen package.

What about the waste separation?

Upon arrival you will receive our Almdorf bag with various garbage bags and tabs for the dishwasher, toilet paper and bath mat for free. In our alpine hut information folders you will find our waste system plan. You can deposit your full trash bags in front of the alpine hut every day, these are taken by our janitors twice a day.

How is the kitchen in the alpine hut equipped?

Our comfort and premium mountain huts offer fully equipped kitchens (plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans etc). Also in the kitchens are a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a stove with oven available. In the premium mountain huts you will find Nespresso capsule machines and in the comfort mountain huts you will find filter coffee machines. If you ever run out of coffee, visit our village shop, where you will also get Nespresso capsules and coffee and coffee filters.

Is grilling possible in summer?

We would be happy to provide you with a WEBER kettle grill with charcoal on request. If the charcoal should run out here, you are welcome to buy it in the village shop. We also have a spacious grill pavilion, which you can also reserve on request.

Do you have suitable bedding & meals for allergy sufferers?

Most of our beds are already equipped with allergy-friendly bed linen (eg house dust allergy, without feathers). However, we ask you to let us know when booking.

Our kitchen team will also respond to your specific needs (eg gluten-free, lactose-free) and prepare an alternative menu, the most important allergen groups can be found on our menus. Please let us know when booking.

Are there spa facilities for alpine hut guests?

All alpine huts are equipped with a hut-owned sauna, our premium alpine huts also offer a spacious relaxation area with loungers and a wellness pot (large Zuber with hot water) on the porch or terrace. On request, you can arrange massages at the hotel reception.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the wellness area in the hotel is not included in the alpine hut price and the use is only permitted for hotel guests.

As a mountain hut guest do you have rules to follow?

In the premium and comfort mountain huts, there are certain house rules to follow. These can also be found in your information folder on site in the alpine hut.
